Abstract: |
Excavations following on from brief desk-based and building surveys revealed garden soil horizons sealed by demolition activity, nothing pre-dated the post-medieval period. No Roman or medieval remains were discovered. The proposed development would have no significant impact on the archaeology of the area. However, given that the site is within Lancaster's Area of Archaeological Potential, it was recommended that a watching brief be initiated during the course of the development programme.[Au(adp)] |
