Abstract: |
An archaeological evaluation was carried out to assess the impact of a proposal to construct sheltered housing on the site of a Bronze Age barrow at Barbican. Though documentary and cartographic sources indicated that a barrow once stood within the proposed development site, field evaluation (involving geophysical survey and machine trenching) revealed that archaeological remains did not survive.
