Abstract: |
An archaeological evaluation and excavation was undertaken on the former site of the medieval hospital of St. John the Baptist. The excavations revealed a substantial medieval cemetery and cobble structures possibly associated with either the 13th-16th century hospital or the 17th-century mansion house, both of which were known historically to have occupied this site.
