Abstract: |
Most of the proposed works were along roadways in areas of recent redevelopment, or in areas where the ground has been heavily disturbed in the recent past. Two locations were identified as areas of archaeological interest; Waterside, and an unnamed area to the west of Culver Road CSO. Waterside was the site of Saltash Gasworks dating to the 1860s, and was located on the site of a Civil War Battery. West of Culver Road was located within a burgage plot of possible medieval date and two buildings had previously been recorded along with an enclosure. [Au(abr)] |
