Abstract: |
<summary>Desk-based assessment and field appraisal were undertaken of the proposed development area. Within the general area, evidence for Mesolithic activity has been found beneath the peat which now covers the area. The limited peat erosion that has occurred in the study area has meant that these underlying levels have not been revealed. Fieldwalking would only be of value once the peat deposits had been removed. There is some evidence of extractive industries; these sites could be recorded as part of a watching brief. {italon}AIP{italoff} |
