Abstract: |
An evalaution was carried out to investigate known crop marks at Heath End prior to the extension of sand extraction operations. Post-medieval wheel ruts and modern trackways were present on the site, which at one time formed part of Duncton Common. Later agricultural activity had scarred the subsoil. A circular feature was revealed which possibly represented the remains of either a ploughed out barrow or hut circle. [Au(adp)] |
