Abstract: |
There was a clear probability that remains of prehistoric and Roman date were present. Neither the possible prehistoric nor Roman remains were likely to include significant architectural features, but material resulting from the use of the well recorded Roman tile kiln to the south-west of the application site may have been encountered. Similarly, evidence of Mesolithic occupation was know from the Wray Common area and it was possible that flint tools and waste flakes may have been encountered during groundwork. [Au(abr)] |
