Trial excavation immediately outside the west door of All Saint's church at Netheravon revealed probable pre-foundation Saxon soil and burial deposits at a depth of c. 400mm below existing ground levels immediately next to the building's foundations, but deep disturbances beyond that caused by later grave excavations.
