Abstract: |
Twenty-eight evaluation trenches were excavated to further investigate areas of archaeological potential identified during assessment of a site proposed for a housing development. An area of Iron Age settlement was identified, the limits of a known Roman site confirmed, and features located in two other locations comprising an area containing two postholes and and an area containing a ditch of possible Iron Age date. Areas of ridge and furrow were also identified. [AIP] |
