Abstract: |
An archaeological watching brief was conducted in the basement level of Companies House. Two successive foundation pits revealed the edge of a cut feature which was probably the same as that observed in engineers test pit 3; during archaeological monitoring in June 1999. This was likely to represent quarrying in the area. With the exception of post-medieval brick fragments there was no firm dating evidence. [Au(abr)] |
