Abstract: |
An evaluation, comprising the excavation of four trenches, was undertaken to identify the impact of the construction of an extension to the rear of the public house, revealing evidence of medieval back-yard activity. Overlying the medieval deposits was a truncated garden soil, sealed by a make-up layer, which in turn was cut by 18th-19th century pits. [AIP] |
