Abstract: |
A watching brief was carried out during excavations at a development site, which lay within an Area of High Archaeological Potential within medieval Laleham. The foundation trenches for two dwellings in the central and western parts of the plot were examined, but no archaeological features or artefacts were observed. It was evident that the area had been subject to considerable modern disturbance. The likelihood of archaeological discoveries being made within this area was concluded to be negligible, and the watching brief was halted. [AIP] |
