Abstract: |
Archaeological observations were made during the excavation of a new foul drainage system. The excavations indicated that the existing farm appeared to have occupied a quarried terrace, the creation of which had removed all traces of any earlier structures. Evidence of medieval tipping was however apparent and it is possible that buildings related to the abbey may once have extended into the area occupied by the present farm buildings.[Au(abr)] |
