Abstract: |
An archaeological investigation of the study area involved a desk-based study and walkover survey. This identified that the study area was located within a region known for its historic landscape consisting of medieval cultivation and settlement, with unknown potential for earlier remains. Although no evidence was located within the study area, other known archaeological sites within the area could have meant that there was potential for archaeological features on site. These could have included industrial activity such as post-medieval brick making and possible Iron Age and Roman salt production. Further archaeological mitigation was suggested. [Au(adp)] |
