Abstract: |
<summary>Desk-based assessment and field appraisal were undertaken on an area proposed for a new golf course. The Roman period is represented by the burial of two hoards in the immediate vicinity, and the conjectured line of a Roman road runs through the study area. In the Medieval period there is evidence for settlement, coal-mining and farming, which continued through into the Post-Medieval period. {italon}AIP{italoff} |
