Abstract: |
Longden Homes had applied for planning permission to develop the site. The area of development would be entirely on top of a massive 19th century embankment, built to support railway sidings. While the development would impact upon the archaeological site of the embankment, and upon the footprint of a demolished 19th century sawmill, these had been historically researched and information about them had been previously recorded. Accordingly, ARCUS recommended that no further archaeological work was required for this development project. [Au(abr)] |
