Six evaluation trenches, excavated in an area proposed for development at St Mary's Church, revealed a number of earth cut and stone capped burials of 19th and 20th century date, a brick arched burial vault containing at least five internments dating between 1792 and 1824, and an area containing 18th and 19th century infant burials cut into earlier structural remains.
