A survey, supported by documentary research was undertaken, detailing the surface and sub-surface remains of a number of mines within the Alport mining field, comprising four local geographical units, Haddon, Harthill, Youlgreave and Stanton, seperated from each other by the rivers Lathkill and Bradford and the Stoney Lee Brook.
