Abstract: |
Little of archaeological significance was recovered from the excavation. The partial collapse of the garderobe wall was observed to continue below present ground level, suggesting the collapse of this corner of the south-east tower was likely to have occurred prior to the accumulation of topsoil, which appeared from the finds recovered, to date from late nineteenth century.
