The archaeological watching brief has shown that any archaeological remains along much of the route of the pipeline had been previously destroyed by the terracing of Priory Hill. The small quantity of prehistoric struck flints, however, seemed to suggest activity here during the Neolithic or Bronze Age. [Au(adp)] |
