Abstract: |
<summary>An earthwork survey was undertaken on an area to be affected by development, in order to locate and assess the importance of any features of potential archaeological significance. The fields immediately to the north and the west are Scheduled as part of the shrunken medieval village of Marton. With the exception of two ditch/bank features and two trackways, the earthwork features on the site did not conform to any readily interpretable form, possibly reflecting disturbance in this area. In any case, the fact that the site was not included within the Scheduled area called its significance into question. {italon}AIP{italoff} |
