Abstract: |
A watching brief was maintained during works for a link water main, including a river crossing, at Respryn Bridge, Lanhydrock. A medieval chapel may once have stood on the eastern bank, where a public house was built in the 19th century. The remains of an enclosure around the public house survived as a level platform still visible on the ground and the pipe trench was re-routed to avoid this area. To the north and east was an area of alluvial tin streamworking. No remains of archaeological sigificance were recorded. [Au] |
