Abstract: |
The desk-based assessment established that there were no sites or findspots of prehistoric date recorded within the study area. Over a wider area settlement sites dating from the Roman period lay approximately 1 km to the north-east, 2.5 km to the east and 3.3 km to the west of the site. The field boundaries seen within the study area were essentially those from the mid-19th century. [Au(abr)] |
