Abstract: |
The excavation provided a well preserved and stratified series of deposits relating to the occupation and industrial activity on the Little Stonegate street frontage dating from the 12th to the 19th centuries. This included a complex structural sequence for the development of timber framed buildings on the site and their property boundaries. The excavation also brought to light important evidence for the manufacture of metal objects within several workshops on the street frontage from the 13th to the 17th centuries. [Au] |
