Abstract: |
An evaluation was undertaken prior to development. An area of field system composed of ridge and furrow and field boundaries was defined; excavation revealed sub-surface features associated with the drainage and enclosure of the system. It was not possible to properly evaluate the southern end of the site but a wider range of features was observed there. It was thought probable that the remains of a medieval settlement were present in the area so it was recommended that the southern area of the site be subject to a watching brief in the event of development.
