Abstract: |
An archaeological watching brief was undertaken during groundworks for a building extension. It was apparent during the course of this work that the proposed extension would to an extent be located in the same area as a former west wing of the building. Finds retrieved from associated demolition debris were dated to the later 18th century. A capped brick built well was also observed during the work. Scarring on the surviving face of the Grade II Listed early 18th century farmhouse also served to illustrate the location of the demolished structure. [Au(adp)] |
