The abstract describing the content of the publication or report
Abstract:		 The desk based archaeological assessment for land at Richmond Drive, Melton Mowbray, Leicestershire, has concluded that archaeological remains may exist in the development area. Map evidence showed that the site could contain earthworks relating to an historic parish boundary, possibly dating to as early as the Anglo-Saxon period. This boundary was marked by a hedgerow along the eastern edge of the site, which was of historic importance. The proposed development plans did not appear to threaten the hedgerow, although this should be clarified. Medieval finds made close by included a pilgrim badge and a large scatter of medieval pottery. In addition, finds to the south-west may indicate Roman and Anglo-Saxon activity. [Au(abr)]
