Abstract: |
An archaeological watching brief was maintained on internal alterations and the excavation of foundation and service trenches in the kitchen and back yard of the Lamb Inn public house, a grade II listed building. Evidence of possible earlier post-medieval buildings and garden soils were exposed. After the removal of walls, ceilings and plaster, three timber beams were exposed and subsequently recorded prior to being covered with new plaser, and in one case, relocated.[Au(AIP)] |
