Abstract: |
Evaluation trenching at two sites proposed for a churchyard extension provided no evidence for the existence of any Anglo-Saxon remains, despite the close proximity of the 8th century parish church. A single archaeological feature was revealed, this was a pit which yielded a sherd of 13th century pottery. A watching brief over development was considered to be sufficient for future archaeological involvement. [AIP] |
