Abstract: |
Trial trenching revealed undisturbed natural sands and gravels across a large proportion of the site. Archaeological remains were, however, present across several areas. Within the south-western part of the site a series of shallow scoops or truncated pits yielded quantities of burnt flint characteristic of prehistoric activity. Further shallow, undated, features were noted within the north-western part of the site. A number of post-medieval/early-modern farm-related features were also revealed. [Au] |
