Abstract: |
Three distinct areas of archaeological preservation were encountered. A 12th century ditched enclosure was identified in the eastern part of the site, as well as a contemporary pond and a Roman quarry pit. A series of post-medieval to modern channels were also identified to the west of this area. A clay lined circular pit was recorded in the south-west of the site and dated to the 13th or 14th centuries. In the north west of the site a modern sunken garden had eradicated any archaeological remains. [Au(adp)] |
