Abstract: |
This watching brief was carried out during groundworks for the conversion of buildings on the site. Although there was much potential for the existence of archaeological remains on the site, it being within a medieval manorial complex and a short distance from very significant discoveries and on the edge of a historical village, there were no archaeological deposits observed during the works. However, the archaeological potential of the area around the site was still seen as being high and further development should have a programme of archaeological works. [Au(adp)] |
