Abstract: |
A watching brief was carried out during groundworks associated with the replacement of poles and stay wires for the support of electricity cables, within an area identified as the possible site of a deserted medieval village. A shallow structure, possibly a wall, was identified, and two sherds of 12th century pottery were recovered. A feature which may have represented a disused post hole was also noted. [Au(adp)] |
