Abstract: |
An evaluation, comprising trial trenching, test pitting and fieldwalking on land proposed for a quarry extension at Harrycroft identified no features of archaeological origin. Assemblages of material recovered during fieldwalking of medieval through to modern date were thinly scattered, and no particular pattern was identified except for a higher concentration of post-medieval material adjacent to the track on the eastern edge of the field.
