Abstract:
The low amount of recorded archaeology within the area studied was partly due to the fact that little archaeological investigation had been carried out in the area. However, because of the peripheral position of the site in relation to the historical development of settlement and industry in the area, this assessment established that there was likely to have been a low potential for substantial archaeological remains of any date.
