Abstract: |
Penhale Round was a prehistoric settlement dating to the later prehistoric period - the Late Iron Age and Romano-British periods. Previous excavations within and in the proximity of the site had revealed well preserved archaeological remains. Three ditches became visible after hand clearing of the site and were to the north west of the site. These features added further evidence of pre-20th century activities at Penhale and contributed to an assessment of the archaeological remains at the site which was in progress. The features were of likely prehistoric function. [AIP] |
