Abstract: |
An evaluation encountered natural features and two Roman ditches, dated by pottery to the 1st or 2nd centuries. The combined alignment of these may have indicated the north-east corner of an early Roman enclosure. This feature was overlain by a single homogeneous layer of later undated cultivation soil, likely to have been subject to truncation during the construction of the car park on the site. [Au(adp)] |
