Abstract The abstract describing the content of the publication or report Abstract:	Archaeological monitoring was undertaken on the excavation of nine foundation bases. Generally all of the pits had a similar stratigraphy containing fragments of brick and mortar over a variable depth of dark brown sandy loam soil which contained numerous fragments of brick, tile and chalk.
