Abstract:
The watching brief was undertaken to determine if proposed floor repairs within the church would have any impact on archaeological remains. Seven areas where pews had stood were examined; beneath the wooden floor and earlier undated floor was encountered, formed by a compacted earth layer with ephemeral traces of a mortar floor surface. No further archaeological layers or features were identified or disturbed. [Au(abr)]
