Abstract: |
Five evaluation trenches were excavated on the site of a new school due to archaeological remains being found previously nearby. The trenches only evaluated a small part of the study area as the evaluation was abandoned due to problems with excavating the football pitch. Two trenches contained features; a small pit or post hole; and a U-sectioned ditch. Four trenches contained finds including a large Iron Age potsherd, iron tool (Roman or medieval), waste flint flakes and cores, and Roman and medieval potsherds. [AIP] |
