Abstract:		 A rapid desk based appraisal of 25 sites across North and East Yorkshire and the City of York. For the majority of sites there were no recorded archaeological or historic sites within the immediate vicinity of the proposed works. Six of the schemes were located within areas considered to have some potential for the survival of archaeological remains. A programme of detailed desk based assessments and archaeological monitoring of initial ground works were recommended. [Au(adp)]
