Abstract:
Remains of significant archaeological potential were found in both the trenches excavated. The earliest exposed feature was a north-east/south-west aligned chalk and flint dwarf wall, provisionally dated to the late medieval period. A sequence of clay floors were recorded. A post-medieval demolition layer was identified, as well as a drainage ditch and pits relating to the use of the site as gardens in the post-medieval period. [Au(abr)]
