Abstract: |
The evaluation consisted of a single trench excavated in advance of a proposed redevelopment of the site for residential housing. In the central and south-west areas of the trench a sequence of post-medieval gravel and chalk layers, probably external yard surfaces were encountered. Two brick walls at the north end of the trench indicated the presence of a late post-medieval building/structure towards the rear of the modern property. [Au(adp)] |
