Abstract: |
The study area and its surrounding landscape were abundent with archaeological features. Immediately to the north lay a Roman cremation cemetery, where hundreds of urns and vessels were collected and stored in antiquarians collections from the 17th century onwards . From within the site itself a palaeolithic axe was discovered, as well as numerous sherds of Roman and late medieval pottery.[AIP] |
