Abstract:		 An archaeological field evaluation was undertaken in advance of a proposed residential development. A single pit of uncertain function and date was identified. No artefacts or other features indicative of significant archaeological activity were discovered during the fieldwork. This work failed to recover any irrefutable evidence for any Iron Age settlement thought to have once existed in the vicinity of the site. [Au(adp)]
