Abstract: |
Results from the archaeological evaluation and geo-technical pit observations inferred that land to the rear of 20 North Street, Salisbury, was utilised for gardening purposes until its residential and commercial development in the post-medieval/modern period. Finds recovered from the site comprised sherds of post-medieval and modern pottery including a fragment of a Victorian jug, a fragment of undiagnostic Verwood ware and several fragments of ceramic drain pipe, along with fragments of ceramic building material, of modern derivation.
