Abstract: |
The desk-based archaeological assessment for the proposed residential development showed that the area had produced flint scatters and quartzite finds from Palaeolithic, Mesolithic and Early Neolithic periods, which were of archaeological significance and possibly of national importance. However, further work was required at the site to assess this. The western part of the site also contained part of an historic parish boundary, which may have had associated earthworks. The proposed development area therefore had significant archaeological potential. [Au(abr)] |
