Abstract: |
A watching brief was carried out during the excavation of groundworks at a development site. A priory, founded in 1123, lay nearby, and remains of its church had been observed on the site itself during previous construction work. No features or artefacts were found during the watching brief, and it was concluded that all archaeological deposits had been destroyed by recent basements. [AIP] |
