Abstract: |
An archaeological desk-based assessment of the site had shown that there was little documentary or cartographic evidence for the presence of archaeological remains on the site. However, a linear cropmark feature to the west of Hillside Farm, which was observed on an aerial photograph and the proximity of the study area to known archaeological sites did suggest the possibility of archaeological features or deposits being present. An archaeological evaluation was therefore considered necessary prior to the possible development of the site for residential housing. [Au] |
