Abstract: |
An archaeological watching brief was undertaken on the groundworks across the site. The groundworks on the site were of such a nature that no archaeological deposits were revealed or disturbed. Most of the site had previously been covered with a substantial deposit of modern rubble and redeposited clay, which accounted for the fairly steep slope from the railway line up to the A4 at the east. In situ deposits were encountered at the western side of Area 1 and in Area 1a but were not of archaeological significance. [Au(adp)] |
